Kumkum Powder is a natural powder used for religous and social occassions in India. Kumkum is made with dried turmeric powder mixed with a bit of slaked lime which changes yellow turmeric powder into a red colour. Nowdays, most of the women have replaced Kumkum with harmful synthetic polymer cosmetics. Applying Turmeric on skin has certain health and other benefits therefore it is always good to start applying kumkum instead of harmful cosmetics. Kumkum can be used as Sindoor as well.
